Have you had the chance to try Twazzup? It is a better alternative to twitter search. Very cool. http://www.twazzup.com

I wrote the following tweet circa 14 hours ago:

@askseesmic I am a bit confused, what's the difference between Twhirl and Seesmic Desktop? I am a FriendFeed user. I have registered for SD.

I have added TweetDeck, Twhirl, Seesmic Desktop or some other application yet, but I have to do it soon. It is hard to get a grip of a stream of 1000+ users.

I got dizzy after I watched Twistori for some time! ;)

I prefer Twhirl. I find Tweetdeck too distracting, as it functions as a whole screen application, meaning you're not doing anything else while using it. Plus their notifications don't include the tweets themselves, only the number of updates received.

Twitterfon is a very good free twitter app, but did you every try Tweetie for the iPhone? It is just like Twitterfon in that it is clean yet powerful, only giving you what you need - mainly your tweet stream, replies, dm's, and favorites. However, in addition to its superior interface (compared to Twitterfon), Tweetie also has a "more" option that allows you to access your own profile, user search, trends, nearby Twitterers, and a general search. This is what makes it stand out and outdo Twitterfon in my own opinion. And, it's only $2.99.

I'd really like to get your opinion on how Q&A sites can use twitter to offer answers to questions asked on twitter as your defined as #2 of things to do on twitter.

I strongly prefer the Tweetie app for iPhone at $2.99. Think Tweetstack app for iPhone might have potential. Loving the new Nambu app for Macintosh. Much prefer it to Tweetdeck or Twhirl. Don't agree on twitterfon - sure it is good for what it is, but the challenge of app-making is to squeeze power into an app in such a way that it still feels simple and fun. That's what tweetie does in my opinion.

Nambu is a microblogging app for the iPhone that supports Twitter, identi.ca, Friendfeed, Ping.fm and others

I like Eventbox and Tweetie better than Tweetdeck, though admittedly it's more popular, so I graciously digress.

I'm totally with you on Twitpic, though BriteKite seems to be picking up steam.

Shameless self-promotion time, though. If you're into creating tweet ups, Twitterpool is the way to go: http://www.twitterpool.com
